David and Victoria Beckham’s £31m London mansion in need of 'urgent structural repairs'

David and Victoria Beckham ’s £31m London townhouse is in ‘poor structural condition’ and is in need of urgent repairs amid fears part of the property will collapse.

The power couple purchased the Holland Park four-storey Grade II listed mansion in 2013, and were forced to submit more than 50 planning applications to renovate the ageing Victorian property.

Repairs cost more than £8 million, and they hired interior designer Kelly Hoppen to help transform the townhouse into a plush family home, before she was replaced by Rose Uniacke, who has been dubbed the ‘queen of serene’.

The property was overhauled under the watchful eye of Posh and Becks, and the couple were able to finally move into the mansion in 2016 with their four kids - Brooklyn, Romeo, Cruz, and daughter Harper.

Their Holland Park abode now boasts an indoor pool, as well as separate living quarters for their eldest son, budding photographer and chef Brooklyn, and an extensive wine cellar to house former footballer David’s impressive collection.

But according to MailOnline, a raised terrace at the mansion is so dangerous it's been sealed off while awaiting urgent structural repairs.

Due to the property’s Grade II listed status, David and Victoria are struggling to forge ahead with the work as they need council approval before undertaking any repairs.

Mirror Online have approached David and Victoria's rep for comment.

The six-bedroom home - with three ensuite bedrooms for their kids - features a gym, cinema room, play room and a spa, and even includes tunnel access for staff leading to a small mews property hidden within the extensive grounds.

The couple opted for a state-of-the art kitchen to serve as the hub of their family home, and it’s seemingly where Brooklyn honed his skills alongside dad David, who is also a passionate cook.

The dark gloss units make the light and airy space seem cosier, and it’s been given an industrial feel with slate countertops, and a huge steel oven located within a island in the middle of the space.

David and Victoria’s enviable home also boasts an underground garage to house their fleet of luxury cars, and the ground floor also includes a study, gym and a massive room.

The couple recently sold their Hertfordshire mansion, cheekily dubbed Beckingham Palace, for £12 million, having bought it shortly after they got married in 1999 for £2.5 million.
