David and Victoria Beckham have paid tribute to their son Romeo on social media as he celebrated his 21st birthday on Friday.
The couple, who are also parents to sons Brooklyn, 24, and Cruz, 18, and daughter Harper, 12, shared the same video on to their respective Instagram accounts, but wrote their own heartfelt captions about their second son reaching the milestone.
The video began with a sweet clip of a young Romeo wearing a Real Madrid football jersey, Beckham’s former team, as he kicked a ball.
In the background, David can be heard asking his son, “Romeo Beckham, are you ready?” to which Romeo responded “Yes I am” with a smile.
The intro was followed by a compilation of clips and photos of him from childhood to now, including more videos of him gracing magazine covers, playing football, on holiday and with his girlfriend Mia Regan.
Writing alongside the video, fashion designer Victoria, 49, penned: “Happy Birthday @RomeoBeckham… The sweetest, kindest and most generous soul.
“We are so proud of you and we love you more than words can express, you are our everything xx Kisses @DavidBeckham @BrooklynPeltzBeckham @CruzBeckham #HarperSeven.”
Meanwhile, David, 48, captioned the video, “Happy 21st Birthday to my little man Dad is so proud of the person that you have become, kind, generous and passionate about what you love, keep being you and dream big ð©· we love u so much x @romeobeckham x @victoriabeckham @brooklynpeltzbeckham @cruzbeckham #HarperSeven.”
In response to his footballer father’s post, Romeo commented a series of love heart emojis beneath the birthday wishes.
The budding sports star has been busy in recent months as he follows in his dad’s football footsteps.
Romeo made his debut for Brentford’s B team in January. At the time he was on loan from Inter Miami II, but in June he signed a permanent deal with the London-based team.
