FX's hit comedy series Dave has recently received some disappointing news for its dedicated fans. Nearly a year after the premiere of the show's third season, co-created by Jeff Schaffer and rapper-comedian Dave Burd, also known by his stage name Lil Dicky, it has been revealed that there are currently no plans for a fourth season. According to a statement from FX Networks, Burd has decided to take an extended break from the show to focus on his music and other ventures. However, the statement also mentioned that this break does not rule out the possibility of returning to the series in the future.
Dave follows the fictionalized version of Lil Dicky, played by Burd himself, as he navigates the challenges of being a neurotic man in his late twenties who is determined to become one of the greatest rappers of all time. The show's cast also includes Taylor Misiak, GaTa, Andrew Santino, Travis Bennett, and Christine Ko, who bring their unique talents to create a hilarious and engaging storyline.
