Dave Ryding has become the first Brit to win alpine skiing World Cup gold after a stunning victory in the Kitzbuehel Slalom.

With the Beijing Winter Olympics only weeks away, Ryding delivered Britain’s first title in the competition’s 55-year history, with Norway’s Lucas Braathen and Henrik Kristoffersen second and third respectively in the biggest slalom on the men’s circuit.
