Dedicated Aberdeen chairman Dave Cormack gave supporters a feel-good update as he posed with a scarf from his hospital bed in America.
The club chief is on the mend after open heart surgery and his son Craig uploaded a heartwarming image of his dad with two thumbs up after his side's 1-0 Premiership win over Livingston at Pittodrie on Saturday. The victory boosted their hopes of European football next season. Cormack remains in tune with what is going on in the Granite City as new chief executive Aberdeen gets set to start his role on Monday.
And a new Aberdeen permanent manager will be atop the the do list and interim boss Barry Robson was quick to dedicate the win over the Lions to the club's chairman. Robson said: “It was brilliant to get a win for Dave,” Robson insisted. “None of this matters really, does it? It’s football and I am sure we have all had family members who have had to go through big operations. We are just thankful he has come through it okay.
"I texted him last week to say there are really good people at this club and we will work hard to look after it when he’s away. His focus is on getting better and we just need to crack on and win more games.”
Cormack is set to continue his recovery Stateside.
