Dave Cormack responds to Aberdeen fan appeals for McGrath and Ronan deals

Dave Cormack responds to Aberdeen fan appeals for McGrath and Ronan deals

DAVE CORMACK has revealed even he is being told to be patient when it comes to Aberdeen's transfer business.

The Pittodrie chairman has backed Jim Goodwin so far in the summer with a significant overhaul of the Aberdeen squad.

Goodwin, who joined mid-way through last season, is still keen to add to his side but has already recruited five new players ahead of the new term.

Liam Scales joined on loan from Celtic, Jayden Richardson was signed for an undisclosed fee to replace Nathan Patterson and Anthony Stewart joins on the expiry of his Wycombe deal.

MTK Budapest duo Bojan Miovski and Yiber Ramadani have also agreed terms at Pittodrie for the new season.

Goodwin is also thought to be keen on adding Vaclav Hladky to his squad but Ipswich are reported to be holding out for a six-figure sum.

However, fans are still desperate for more business with former St Mirren stars Jamie McGrath and Connor Ronan linked with moves to reunite with Goodwin.

Goodwin signed the pair for St Mirren - McGrath from Dundalk and Ronan on loan from Wolves - and both enjoyed excellent periods in Paisley.

Now, the Dons boss is thought to be interested in a reunion - and Cormack responded to a fan pleading for the pair to be added to a "fab week of signings".

Cormack said: "I agree. That’s exactly what I told Jim and @steven_gunn22.

"They told me that I need to be patient."
