Disney Dreamlight Valley fans do not have long to wait before the big fall update is live. Developers Gameloft announced on their social media that the update will land on October 19.
The first major content update for the early-access game promises to welcome more story quests and many bug fixes. Of course, there's also a new character still to come.
If you've unlocked all the realms available, you'll no doubt be wondering when someone will take up residence in the Sunlit Plateau's elephant skull. Thankfully, your wait will be short-lived as it looks like it'll be home to a new villain, Scar.

Fans who love to collect everything possible will be excited at the news that there will be a brand-new star pass. The debut pass was Pixar-themed and saw players collect a bed in the shape of Lightening McQueen, Miguel's guitar from Coco and all manner of motifs to customise their wardrobe.
With the new update, players can also expect fixes to some of the bugs, errors and glitches in the game. For those still waiting to pick up Wall-E's lightbulb or finally hit level 10 friendship with Mother Gothel, Gameloft says that fixes are on the way.
In an interview with Polygon, senior world designer Josh Labelle and creative director Nicholas Mainville said that Disney Dreamlight Valley "is an invitation to reconnect with your inner child, and reconnect with all the Disney properties that you love — to get to live among them".
It definitely seems to be working, with the game ranking highly across all platforms. Fans of life sims like Animal Crossing have embraced the game and there is already an active and enthusiastic fanbase.
Developers also released their roadmap, which aims to add a Toy Story update in "late Fall 2022". Now we can unlock Scar, we have our eyes on becoming best friends with Buzz and Woody in no time!
