Free agency is only a day old and deals are coming left and right.
Most of the signings and agreements are lower-priced ones, as teams and players take the cautious approach with the Kevin Durant trade rumors swirling. Nonetheless, teams are making moves.
One team getting work done is the Philadelphia 76ers, who have reportedly agreed to deals with PJ Tucker and Danuel House. The deals, which average out as solid ones, are particularly noteworthy, however. And everyone is finding these moves to be hilarious.
Why hilarious?
Hilarious because of the Houston Rockets connection. Tucker and House join James Harden — if he re-signs, as it sounds like he will — as the former Rockets to reunite with Daryl Morey, the current president of basketball operations of the Sixers and former of the Rockets. Trevelin Queen also has agreed to a deal with the Sixers after spending the 2021-22 season in Houston.

Darryl Morey is a creature of habit. He’s wanted PJ TucKer in a Sixers uniform for years and will try to do so again this off-season. Eric Gordon is another player he’s monitoring.
James Harden opting out creates some cap flexibility. But they are still looking to create more.

So, three down (Queen, House, Tucker), and one presumably going to re-up (Harden). How many more former Rockets will Morey go out and get?
