Darwin Nunez is reportedly ‘keen’ to join Manchester United this summer amid speculation linking him with a move to Old Trafford.
The Benfica striker is being tipped to leave the Lisbon side this summer after a stellar season in Portugal. Nunez scored 34 goals across all competitions, and caught the eye during Benfica’s run to the Champions League quarter-finals.
With United on the lookout for a new forward this summer, among other positions, Nunez would appear to fit the bill perfectly. Indeed, talkSPORT claim the Reds are pursuing a deal to sign the Uruguay international.

Furthermore, the report claims Nunez is keen to become part of Erik ten Hag’s new era at Old Trafford, with Benfica said to have named their price at £68million. United though aren’t the only side who are reportedly interested.
Liverpool, Tottenham and Real Madrid are also claimed to be targeting the 22-year-old. Nunez reportedly wants to play in the Champions League, although Ten Hag is said to be hopeful he can tempt him to join his revolution at United.
Elsewhere, reports in Italy claim the Reds have rejected an approach from Roma for Diogo Dalot. The defender has been linked with a reunion with former United boss Jose Mourinho, who signed the Portugal international during his time in charge at Old Trafford.
While United are in need of more quality in their back four, it remains to be seen whether the club will target a new right-back with other areas seemingly a priority. According to the latest rumours, they at least plan on retaining Dalot’s services this summer.
Corriere Dello Sport (via Sport Witness) suggest United have rebuffed Roma’s attempts to take Dalot during the transfer window. The Italian publication say the Reds aren’t interested in offloading the right-back, with Ten Hag said to have reassured him of his role for next season.
Aaron Wan-Bissaka though has been suggested as a possible alternative for Roma, although the former Crystal Palace man is likely to cost more. While Dalot’s future looks as though it may be a little more certain, Wan-Bissaka’s seems to be more in doubt after a disappointing campaign.
