One fortunate darts fan stands to win a £25,000 cash prize provided one player can land two nine-darters at the 2023 PDC World Darts Championship.
Tournament sponsor Selco Builders Warehouse has stumped up £100,000 in potential prize money if any competitors can record two perfect legs. That's in addition to the £2.5million in prize money that's been on offer at the World Championship since 2019 (£500,000 of which goes to the champion).
Of the incentive winnings, £50,000 will go to the first player skilful enough to land two nine-dart finishes in London. Selco will also donate another £25,000 to Cancer Research UK, bringing the overall fund up to six figures.

"It's a great initiative by Selco which adds extra interest to what is already an incredible tournament," said 2021 world champion Gerwyn Price. "It certainly got the players talking last year and no doubt it will generate plenty of interest this year too.
Fans must register on the Selco Builders Warehouse website to be eligible to win the £25,000 sum. Registration must be complete by the time the second nine-dart finish is completed in order to be in with a chance of winning.
Price, who this year failed to win a ranked, televised competition for the first time since 2017, added he and the other players would do "everything they can" to trigger the pay-out. "With the general cost of living making life tough for everyone at present, I'm sure the money would make a tremendous difference to the general public winner and the charity," added 'The Iceman'.
Despite offering the same prize during last year's World Darts Championship, no player was able to meet the criteria and trigger the contribution. Price was one of three players to hit one nine-darter, along with Willie Borland and Darius Labanauskas.
Peter Wright ultimately went on to beat Michael Smith 7-5 in a gripping final, with the Scot having clinched two of the past three titles. A successful title defence would make him the first player to win the tournament back-to-back since compatriot Gary Anderson did so in 2015 and 2016.
The titleholder will enter the 2023 contest as second seed behind Price. However, the Welshman recently identified No. 3 Michael van Gerwen as "the one to beat."
