Darren Till has announced he is leaving Misfits Boxing and has teased a “massive announcement” in the coming days.
Till, a former UFC title challenger, debuted in Misfits in January 2025 and went on to fight three times in the promotion.
He knocked out Anthony Taylor on his debut, outpointed fellow UFC veteran Darren Stewart in May, then stopped ex-UFC champion Luke Rockhold in August.
Now, however, he looks set to begin a new, unknown venture.
“I’ve got a really big announcement to make,” Till said in an Instagram video on Monday. “I’ve parted ways with Misfits on really good terms.
“I’m thankful for the 12 months I had with them and the three fights I had, [where I] became champion. As I said, on extremely good terms, got nothing but love for Misfits and the owners and promoters and stuff like that, and all the people who work behind the scenes.
“It’s time to try my hand at something else.”
Explaining part of the rationale for his departure, the Liverpudlian said: “Not a lot of people wanted to fight me. It was getting really hard to get fights.
“So, in the next few days I’m going to have a massive announcement, some massive news. I’m sure you are all going to be excited to see what I’m going to announce.
“And I just want to say again, thanks to Misfits. Thanks to everyone involved, and I’ll probably be back there soon as well. This is not the end of it with Misfits. Peace and love.”
Till, 33, made his name in the UFC, going 5-0-1 between 2015 and 2018 to set up a welterweight title shot. At that point, he suffered his first MMA defeat, losing to then-champion Tyron Woodley via submission.

That result marked the start of a 1-5 run for Till, who outpointed Kelvin Gastelum but lost to Jorge Masvidal via KO, former champion Robert Whittaker via decision, and Derek Brunson and Dricus Du Plessis via submission. Du Plessis went on to win the middleweight title, with Till having moved up to that division in 2019.
Till rediscovered his form and confidence in the boxing ring, however, knocking out Mohammad Mutie in a 2024 exhibition before joining Misfits.
His Misfits debut was due to come against Tommy Fury – half-brother of ex-heavyweight boxing champ Tyson Fury – but Till’s joke about intending to kick the reality-TV star led Fury to withdraw.
It is unclear what Till’s next move will be, and although he has long expressed a desire to return to the UFC someday, that would not necessarily align with his plan to “try my hand at something else”.
