Darren Bent praises Newcastle's Callum Wilson 'right choice' but makes 'gone for goal' verdict

Darren Bent claims Callum Wilson would have wished Jack Grealish wasn't in the box for England's sixth goal against Iran. The Newcastle United forward was baring down on goal after a great run in behind Iran's defence.

Instead of going for goal himself, Wilson rolled the ball back into the path of the Manchester City midfielder who slotted the ball into the back of the net. The Magpies front man enjoyed a solid enough cameo from the bench, replacing Harry Kane with 14 minutes of normal time remaining.

The Spurs striker was unable to find the back of the net and was substituted as a precaution following a number of overzealous challenges from Iran players.
