Darragh Ennis' warning to The Chase fans as he returns after absence

Fans of The Chase were overjoyed while watching tonight's show as one of their favourite chasers finally returned.

Darragh Ennis was yet to be seen on the popular ITV quiz show so far this year, until tonight.

Fans had been counting the days since they had last seen him, with some becoming worried in case his absence was permanent.

Viewers took to Twitter to share their joy as Darragh reared up to take on players Sandra, Emily, Sak and Danny in tonight's episode.

Tae said: "IT’S FINALLY DARRAGH!!!!!! IM SO HAPPY #TheChase."

Ollie said: "Finally you lot can stop asking where’s Darragh #TheChase."

Paul said: "Bloody hell Darragh is actually on as the chaser today. That’s a rare sight. #TheChase"

But before his return, Darragh took to Twitter himself to remind fans of 'Twittiquette' rules - he warned them to watch their actions on the social media platform as some of them could be breaking the law without realising.

He wrote: "Twittiquette rules thread: 1. Let people enjoy their things. If you don't like the book/TV show/game/music you don't need to try ruin it for them, just scroll on

"2. If you want to say mean/negative things about something, don't tag those involved in it."

"3. Don't feed the trolls

"4. Don't join in pile-ons. If 3000 people have already attacked someone, you won't help by joining in."

He continued: "Specific to me: 1. Don't be mean about contestants. It's really hard being on the show

"2. Sigh. It's not fixed, that would be fraud

"3. Saying it's fixed is committing libel, which is a crime."

Tonight, the chaser took on four more hopefuls quizzing their way to a cash prize.

We saw player Sak, a 34-year-old solicitor from Bradford, sent home empty handed.

Remaining players, Danny, 56, Emily, from Newcastle and Sandra, a 74-year-old retiree, head on to the final round where they played for a cash prize jackpot of £17,000.

The chaser caught them and sent them all home with nothing.

The Chase airs weekdays at 5pm on ITV and ITV Hub
