A training provider that delivers tech and digital skills across the country plans to create at least 50 new jobs following a £1m move into new premises.
Baltic Apprenticeships acquired Pioneer House in Darlington as its new head office - consolidating four previous locations on Aycliffe Business Park. The firm says the 175,000 sqft premises - bought with the support of a £435,000 Large Capital Grant from the Tees Valley Mayor and Combined Authority - will allow for ambitious growth plans.
Managing director Tony Hobbs said: “Due to rapid growth across all our departments, we knew we had to make the investment of a central hub to allow for sustainable expansion. Operating across four buildings was impacting our ability to coach new employees and build a collaborative culture.
