Dark Star Pictures, a prolific film distribution company, has recently acquired the North American rights to 'Zenithal,' a highly anticipated kung fu comedy directed by the talented Jean-Baptiste Saurel. Saurel, known for his previous work 'The Dickslap,' which premiered at Cannes' Critics Week, has created quite a buzz in the industry. The film is set to be represented in international markets by Best Friend Forever, who will unveil an exclusive promo reel at the EFM.

Currently in its post-production phase, 'Zenithal' is generating excitement as it gears up for its world premiere this year. Michael Repsch, the president of Dark Star Pictures, expressed his enthusiasm for the film, stating, ''Zenithal' is unique in its genre and content, and marketing possibilities are infinite.' Repsch also elaborated on the film's potential to appeal to diverse audiences, including genre lovers, the younger Gen Z and X demographics, and even couples or individuals with an affinity for positive and open discussions around sexuality.

Jean-Baptiste Saurel's impressive directorial credits include 'Parallels,' a Disney+ series that captivated audiences with its engaging storytelling and inventive visuals. Additionally, Saurel has been entrusted with directing the highly anticipated television reboot of 'Zorro,' featuring the renowned actor Jean Dujardin. With such promising projects under his belt, it is evident that Saurel's artistic vision resonates with both audiences and industry insiders alike.

Expanding upon the foundation laid by 'The Dickslap,' 'Zenithal' promises to deliver an action-packed comedy that revolves around the death of the famous kung fu master, Ti-Kong. The film boasts a talented ensemble cast, including Vanessa Guide, known for her role in '30 Days Left,' Franc Bruneau, Cyril Guei from 'Full Time,' Xavier Lacaille from 'Parliament,' and Bruno Gouery from the hit series 'Emily in Paris.'

The production crew behind 'Zenithal' is equally impressive, with cinematographer Yann Maritaud, known for his work on 'The Big Hit,' capturing the film's dynamic action sequences and visually stunning moments. The experienced stunt coordinator Samuel Kefi Abrikh, who has contributed to film blockbusters such as 'Valerian,' 'Dunkirk,' and 'Mission: Impossible - Fallout,' ensures that the film's fight scenes are as thrilling as they are authentic.

Produced by the esteemed French company Kazak Prods., who recently gained recognition for their film 'Titane,' and set to be distributed in France by the Jokers Films, the anticipation surrounding 'Zenithal' continues to grow. The film's unique blend of comedy and martial arts promises to offer audiences an exhilarating and entertaining experience.

Best Friend Forever, the company representing 'Zenithal' in international markets, is making waves in the industry themselves. Attending the renowned Berlinale festival, they are proud to present 'Shambhala,' the first Nepalese film to premiere in competition at a major festival. Their dedication to showcasing groundbreaking films from diverse cultural backgrounds further solidifies their position as a prominent player in the global film distribution landscape.

As the release of 'Zenithal' draws closer, fans of martial arts, comedy, and innovative filmmaking eagerly await the opportunity to witness the latest creation from the talented Jean-Baptiste Saurel. With its unique storyline, stellar cast, and skilled production team, 'Zenithal' is destined to make a lasting impression on audiences worldwide.
