Pro football is no country for old men.
Sooner or later, players that may have once seemed likely to stay young forever find themselves unable to catch up with the next generation. Even those who remain exceptional into their mid-thirties will find themselves slowing eventually.
Eagles cornerback Darius Slay found that out the hard way during Philadelphia's 21-17 victory over the Chiefs Monday evening—even as the 32-year-old tries for his sixth Pro Bowl appearance in seven seasons.
On first-and-five midway through the first quarter with the Eagles and Kansas City locked in a scoreless tie, Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes hit wide receiver Rashee Rice for a 14-yard gain. In the process, Rice sent Slay flying with superb footwork.
Slay's (joking) response? See you in court, Rashee.

"I need all rice info lol bra getting sued for sure.. I got kids at home," Slay wrote on social media.
Both fans and fellow pros showed an appreciation for Slay's willingness to poke fun at himself.

Despite Slay's apparent annihilation, he still finished with four tackles in Philadelphia's biggest win of the season.
