Marvel has long kept major spoilers out of its trailers, but suddenly flipped the idea on its head for Daredevil: Born Again season 2 – by dangling a significant 'death' in front of our eyes the entire time.

Kingpin's boxing match at Fogwell's Gym may have ended with a knockout, but the final parting shot was still to come, courtesy of Wilson Bethel's Bullseye.
As Mayor Fisk celebrated with his newly won belt, the marksman put a target on his back. As he blocked a killshot from a crystalized bust of himself surrounded by New York City's skyline (oh, the irony), Kingpin inadvertently deflected the projectile and shards of glass into the temple of his wife, Vanessa.
With her blood streaming down onto her white dress, viewers were understandably shocked by the event. After all, it seems likely that one of the Netflix OG cast is being bumped off (and not long after Foggy bit the bullet, either).
But perhaps we should have seen it coming. In a recent Daredevil: Born Again season 2 trailer, we see Kingpin holding a gun in the ring. In the background, however, you can clearly see Vanessa getting ready to faint, with a glass shard sticking out of her head. Ouch.

So, yes, we all missed that. I missed it, you missed it, and perhaps even Marvel's editors missed it given the risk involved with spotlighting such a scene. Thankfully, Kevin Feige can hold off his attack dogs – as no one spotted it before the episode aired on Disney Plus.
