Daredevil: Born Again season 2's Bullseye actor Wilson Bethel was set to play a big role in a now-canceled Star Wars video game and, over a decade later, a new batch of fans are taking the news pretty hard.
Bethel was set to play an original character, Rak Jaren, a bounty hunter who was the original protagonist of Star Wars 1313. In the canceled game, he was set to be murdered by Boba Fett early on in the action, and he would then take over as the main character.
Set in an underground area of Coruscant known as Level 1313, the game was planned to follow Boba Fett in early adulthood. It was announced in 2012, but development was canceled shortly after in 2013 after Disney acquired Lucasfilm (and LucasArts, which was working on the game). The project is now indefinitely on hold.
"This ruined my entire month dude omg," said one fan.
"My heart just shattered," wrote another.
"As if I couldn’t be more angry this game got cancelled. Why would you bring this to my attention bro," said someone else.
A gameplay clip from Star Wars 1313 was leaked in 2022, which took place after the switch in protagonists, and various other snippets have found their way online over the past decade.
Bethel is currently starring in Daredevil: Born Again season 2 as Dex, AKA sharpshooter vigilante Bullseye. Despite killing Foggy in season 1, he seems to be on the side of the Man Without Fear this season, but it remains to be seen if he can be trusted.
