Newcastle supporters have been joyously celebrating their victory over Southampton, as they booked their place in the League Cup final for the first time in 47 years.
The Magpies carried over a 1-0 advantage from the first leg after Joelinton's solitary strike saw them emerge victorious at St Mary's. Sean Longstaff tucked a low ball from Kieran Trippier into the bottom corner inside five minutes to provide Newcastle with the perfect start.
He then scored twice in a single match for the first time for the Magpies when he added the finishes touches to a sumptuous attacking move. Joe Willock latched onto Joelinton's pass down the left channel and opened up Southampton's defence with a stunning reverse pass.

Miguel Almiron crossed first time for Longstaff to fire an emphatic finish beyond the reach of Southampton goalkeeper Gavin Bazunu. Che Adams reduced the deficit before the break when he unleashed an impressive long-range shot into the bottom corner
Adam Armstrong squandered a golden chance when he was foiled one-on-one by Nick Pope, while Bazunu produced two saves in quick succession to deny Longstaff and Alexander Isak.
Bruno Guimaraes was shown a red card after a VAR review for a high challenge on Samuel Edozie during the final 10 minutes. The Brazilian international is set to be available for the final, as he will serve his three-match ban in the upcoming Premier League games against West Ham, Bournemouth and Liverpool respectively.
