Danny Malin 'delighted' to try 'gorgeous' new Leeds Greek street food Pittafan

YouTube star and Leeds resident Danny Malin rated Oakwood's newest Greek street food restaurant.

The Rate My Takeaway presenter, from Barnsley, is best known for reviewing Yorkshire's most popular eateries. His latest taste test was at Pittafan in Roundhay Road.

The venue is open every day from 12 noon until 11pm and serves pitta wraps, gyros, club sandwiches, burgers, salads, desserts, and more. A spokesperson said: "Pittafan is bringing incredibly tasty and authentic Greek flavours to Leeds." Danny decided to try the spot for himself to see if it lives up to its good reputation.

The internet star turned up with his iconic branded van, table and chair, and cameraman. When he arrived at the venue he was greeted by a crowd of hungry people queuing. He was inundated with fans asking for selfies, or cars beeping their horns.

Danny decided to try the mixed grill and a chocolate dessert. The total came to £21. As the meal came out he said: "Look at that, that looks amazing. This is looking mega this, it looks great."

The mixed grill includes pork gyros, chicken souvlaki, lamb kebab, lamp chops served with pitta bread, chips, tzatziki sauce, and mixed salad. Danny said: "It is full of flavour and cooked on the grill - amazing."

Tucking into the lamb kebab, Danny said: "It smells a bit citrusy. Oh wow, it is just ram-packed with seasoning. It is absolutely gorgeous." He branded the lamb chop as "bang on", and said the gyros was a "delight to try".

He added that the chicken skewer is "succulent and soft." The YouTuber described the grill as "spot on", and "beautiful". He ended his review, shared on his channel, by saying he would have Pittafan's food "every day of the week".
