Danny Dyer and his daughter Dani's travel series Absolutely Dyer: Danny and Dani Do Italy has been axed after only one season, according to reports.
The four-part Channel 4 show followed the father-daughter duo as they road-tripped through Italy, soaking up the country's scenery, art, and history, while questioning whether travel is truly their thing.
After visiting Palermo, Florence, and Rome, the pair wrapped up their whirlwind adventure in Lake Como, where they "holidayed like A-listers."
Even though the pair were keen to film more, the broadcaster couldn't be persuaded to renew the show, with the series now seemingly grounded for good.
“They discussed doing more, even exploring regions in the UK, which would have been cheaper to make,” an insider told The Sun. “But Channel 4 have decided once is enough and they won't be back for more.
“Danny and Dani are still really well thought of as a telly duo, as shown on Celebrity Gogglebox, so they might return in a different guise on the channel.”
However a spokesperson for Channel 4 told The Standard that they haven’t ruled out working with the pair in the future.
They said: “We love Danny and Dani. They are both so busy so there are no new shows planned, but never say never.”
It’s not It’s not all bad news for the actor, as his Sky comedy series Mr Bigstuff has been renewed for a second season. The show follows two estranged brothers—perfectionist Glen, played by Ryan Sampson and Dyer’s carpet salesman Lee.
Additionally, the former EastEnders star will appear in the star-studded Disney+ series Rivals, alongside David Tennant, Aidan Turner, and Emily Atack.
On top of all that, the TV star recently spoke about wanting to start his own production company to nurture working-class talent.
“I found out that it’s about 6%, and that worries me,” he told Metro.co.uk in August. “So, I would like to, if I could possibly give something back to this industry, because it’s done a lot for me, it would be to try and give some real working class kids hope and opportunity.”
Meanwhile, former Love Island star Dani is currently enjoying the excitement of her recent engagement after England footballer Jarrod Bowen proposed in July.
The happy couple are parents to one-year-old twins, Summer and Star. Dani also has a three-year-old son, Santiago, from a previous relationship.
