Actor Danny Dyer has teased fans that his next role after his explosive EastEnders exit could mean a return to a huge film.
The actor, who's starred in films including Football Factory and Severance, has hinted that he could be eyeing up a return to films with a sequel to one of his fan favourite movies from his career.
Danny is known for his London geezer roles with his portrayal of international drug dealer Franky in 2005 film The Business a memorable favourite with fans. Lucky for fans, Franky could be set to return as a cryptic Instagram post hinted at a possible follow up for Danny.
In an Instagram post shared with his 1.4 million followers, Danny shared a snap of himself with film director Nick Love. Captioning the snap, Danny wrote: "Just had a strong meet with the beautiful Nick Love…gonna get back on the horse with him. A fucking powerful thing is coming…."
With Nick the director on 2005 film The Business and The Football Factory, fans were sure this was a clue that Danny could be making a comeback from soaps to films with a sequel in the works nearly 20 years after the original was released.
Fans jumped into the comments to quiz the actor on his possible career move, as one wrote: "The Business 2 please".
Another added: "The business 2 or Football Factory 2 please!"
"If this isn’t the business part 2 I’m gonna throw a hissy fit," said a third.
A fourth commented: "Please say its The Business part 2..would love to see you in Sergio Tacchini gear again."
A fifth added: "You make The Business 2 and I’ll cry."
"Business 2, get the band back together," said another.
The hint at a future film comes shortly after Danny played in the recent charity football event Soccer Aid alongside actor Martin Compston, Tommy Fury, Usain Bolt and Tom Hiddleston as well as other famous faces and sports stars. The actor reportedly took part after longstanding nemesis Mark Wright backed out.
A source had told The Sun : "Danny is a huge football fan, and Soccer Aid is a dream gig for him. Previously, he’s refused to take part if Mark is on the team.
“Danny is buzzing he can now be a part of it, and he is looking forward to walking out at Old Trafford tonight."
