Danniella Westbrook 'rushed' back to hospital after recent septicemia scare

Danniella Westbrook has told her fans that she is back in hospital for the second time in two weeks.

The 48-year-old former EastEnders star was "rushed" to A&E after she was hit with a second health shock after she was previously treated for septicemia.

The actress shared her latest day in hospital on her Instagram Stories in which she shared a video and said that she was left walking in "scary" corridors late at night.

Danniella didn't elaborate as to why she had been admitted to hospital but she told fans on social media: "Another day another hospital".

Describing her situation in the hospital, she added: "Scary place. The only person in the whole corridor".

A couple weeks ago, the actress was hospitalised "for several days" with what she said was septicemia, which is when blood is poisoned by bacteria.

This came after she had facial reconstructive surgery, which would have cost £500,000 privately but Danniella was able to have the work done on the NHS.

After the surgery and her subsequent hospitalisation for a "health shock", the soap star's representative told The Sun : "Danniella suffered a sudden health shock.

"Thankfully the issue was caught early and dealt with by medical professionals.

"Danniella has been released from hospital and is home recovering with the support of close family."

The representative added: "We are grateful that Danniella hasn’t suffered from any major risks."

The reconstructive surgery was on Danniella's "collapsing" nose and it required five operations.

She has defended the decision saying that it was required so she could "survive" and not a "vanity" reason for having it done, as her septum had collapsed in 2002 after excessive drug use.

Danniella told The Sun : previously: "I've spent the last seven years trying to get somebody to do it, but they said no in case it failed and they got struck off.

"Plastic surgeons wanted £500,000 to change my face, so I thought I was never going to get it done. It was only because I went into intensive care before Christmas.

"I couldn't breathe because I had a cold. There was a build up of fluid and after I fell asleep I couldn't wake up properly and ended up in ICU.

"I was sent over to Aintree Hospital in Liverpool and it's only because I was put in front of the right doctors, or else I'd still be waiting now to find someone."
