Danniella Westbrook has penned an emotional message in appreciation of her mum.
Taking to Instagram, alongside a selfie of the former EastEnders star and her mum, Susan, Danniella wrote a touching tribute for the "unconditional love" she had received. In it, she thanked her mum helping her through hard times even though she caused her "worry, embarrassment, heartache and false hope."
The 48-year-old actress is currently working hard to get her life back on track after struggling with drug abuse, which began when she played the role of Sam Mitchell on the BBC soap. She had been sober for 14 years before relapsing in 2014.

Now, she is undergoing facial reconstruction surgery to help lessen the effects of her long-term cocaine habit. She often posts messages of positivity on her social media channels and also encourages others to seek help if they need it.
Today Danniella thanked her mum for sticking by her side through all of her troubles. She wrote: "My Mother, my queen, my hero.
"Today to be able to spend quality time with you is something I treasure. For years I’ve caused you worry, embarrassment, heartache and given you false hope. All the things you worked so hard for me not to be."
She added: "Today one day at a time you can see hope and glimpses of your daughter coming back to life. Thank you Mum for all the unconditional love you show me even when I’ve been impossible to love. You are a women of strength, loyalty, love and a true treasure. I love you today was so nice . Love you the world always Danni xxx #familyfirst #Mothers."
