Danjuma debate, Porro in - The Tottenham team Conte and Stellini should pick vs Sheffield United

Following two successive wins in the Premier League to move back into the top four, attention now switches to the FA Cup for Tottenham Hotspur. Having beaten Portsmouth and Preston North End in the competition so far, a tricky away tie at Sheffield United is up next as they look to progress through to the quarter-finals.

The Blades are currently flying high in the Championship and a Premier League return could be on the cards as they sit second in the table with a seven-point lead over third-place Middlesbrough having played one game less. While of course promotion will be the end goal for the Blades, they will also be looking to produce an FA Cup giant killing and send Tottenham crashing out of the competition.

The Lilywhites did in fact lose in the same round of the competition 12 months ago, with Middlesbrough getting the better of them in extra time at the Riverside Stadium. Looking to avoid another shock exit, Antonio Conte and Cristian Stellini have a big decision to make with their team ahead of a big couple of weeks for the club.

But how exactly could they line up? Our football.london Tottenham Hotspur reporters have named the teams they believe the Italian duo will go with at Bramall Lane.

Conte has to balance the need to rotate to keep some players fresh and others getting much-needed minutes with the fear of underestimating Sheffield United in the FA Cup, as Spurs did at Middlesbrough last season.

In defence, Davinson Sanchez and Japhet Tanganga could be handed starts and then it's about who gets the nod alongside them. Clement Lenglet might get that shout to keep the balance on the left.

Pedro Porro and Ivan Perisic can add fresh legs on either flank at wing-back while Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg's suspension against Milan might leave him fresher than Oliver Skipp, who has played three games in quick succession after a long spell without regular starts. That could put the Dane alongside Pape Matar Sarr for some experience in the centre of the pitch.

Up front, Arnaut Danjuma needs a start and as long as Son Heung-min is fine to play after his recent problem then those two could begin the game on either side of Richarlison. The £60million Brazilian needs to get sharper and that could hand Harry Kane a rest on the bench.

Gold's team: Forster; Tanganga, Sanchez, Lenglet; Porro, Sarr, Hojbjerg, Perisic; Son, Richarlison, Danjuma.

Winning the FA Cup really is a realistic prospect for Antonio Conte and his Tottenham side this season with a number of Premier League clubs already out of the competition. Given the need for silverware in N17, Spurs need to go as strong as possible in South Yorkshire or else they could be the victims of another FA Cup giant killing.

Sticking with Fraser Forster in goal, Tottenham should make just the one change as Davinson Sanchez comes in for Eric Dier in the middle of the back three. As Cristian Romero was absent for the recent game at Leicester City through suspension, Dier can be the one who sits out this time to accommodate Sanchez.

Pedro Porro can come in for his second Tottenham start in place of Emerson Royal, with Ivan Perisic getting the nod after Ben Davies' left wing-back role in the past two games. Pape Matar Sarr could also come back into the side, with Oliver Skipp perhaps the player to make way as Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg sat out the AC Milan game due to his one-match Champions League ban.

In attack, Tottenham should persist with Richarlison once again as he needs a run of games and Son Heung-min comes in for Dejan Kulusevski. Given the importance of this fixture, Harry Kane starts but a rest could come his way towards the end of the cup encounter if Tottenham are in a promising position.

That will come as bad news for Arnaut Danjuma, who is desperate for minutes at present, but an opportunity could arise for him to increase his playing time in the second half.

Guest's team: Forster; Romero, Sanchez, Lenglet; Porro, Hojbjerg, Sarr, Perisic; Richarlison, Kane, Son.
