Daniella Monet would feel "a whirlwind of emotions" if Frankie B. jeans ever made a comeback.
The 37-year-old star, who rose to fame on Victorious in the 2010s and has reprised her role as Trina Vega in revival show Hollywood Arts, has reflected on the power of nostalgia while admitting there's one fashion trend she doesn't see returning to the mainstream.
She told PEOPLE magazine: "I remember, this was back when Lizzie McGuire was on there was a store called The Jean Shack — which I'm pretty sure was in an episode of something, or maybe they changed the name — and they used to sell Frankie B. jeans, which were these tiny tight little, low-rise jeans that were just literally so tight they felt painted onto your body."
She recalled the jeans costing a "fortune", with the low-rise pants becoming a go to outfit for the lieks of Britney Spears and Jennifer Lopez in the early 00s.
She added: "They were a fortune. I specifically remember all my friends and me trying to figure out how we would either raise or make money, or convince our parents to get us these jeans.
"Not that I want them to come back, but if I saw Frankie B. jeans on someone, that would be a real whirlwind of emotions. I'd be like, 'Where am I?' "
Daniella "would be surprised" to see the denim piece out in the wild nowadays, and she still questions one of the design choices.
She quipped: "They have no pockets on the butt. It's a real choice, but it's fashion."
Meanwhile, Daniella recently revealed she is "so proud" of her Victorious co-stars, and she "keeps in touch" with a lot of her fellow alumni from the Nickelodeon show.
I've always been their biggest cheerleader. I feel so grateful and lucky to work alongside such talented people. They were so talented from the jump.
"Victorious was really a jumping-off point for all of them, and they're all in the verticals that serve them the best right now. I watch, and I am in awe of all of them."
