Daniel Radcliffe and his partner Erin Darke have welcomed their first child together.
The Harry Potter star and his long-term girlfriend were pictured taking their newborn for a walk in New York City on Monday.
Daniel, 33, kept a low profile as he wore a mask and baseball cap while pushing a blue pram, as he wore a hoodie and grey jeans.
New mum Erin, 38, also kept it casual as she wore jeans and a green coat, as well as a mask which was propped under her chin.
The private couple met in 2012 on the set of film Kill Your Darlings, and earlier this year confirmed they were expecting a child.
A source close to the couple said in March: “Daniel and Erin could not be happier to be expecting. They are absolutely thrilled, and can’t wait to become a family of three.
“They told their families and friends recently. It’s an incredibly exciting time.”
Daniel shot to fame aged 12 as wizard Harry in the multi-billion pound film franchise.
But he may be steering his offspring away from following his lead after struggling with drink as a young adult in an attempt to cope with being in the public eye.
He told Newsweek magazine last year: “I want my kids – if and when they exist – I would love them to be around film sets.
“A dream would be for them to come onto a film set and be like: ‘God, you know, I’d love to be in the art department, I’d love to be something in the crew.
“I wouldn’t want fame for my kid. Film sets are wonderful places. A lot of the time it can be wonderful for kids, but it’s really the fame side of it that should be avoided at all costs.”
In 2020, Daniel said of his and Erin meeting on a film set: “It’ll be a hell of a story to tell our kids one day, our characters are meeting and flirting with each other, so there is this kind of sweet record of us just meeting for the first time.”
Meanwhile, Daniel isn't the first Harry Potter child star to become a parent as his co-star, Rupert Grint, welcomed his first child in 2020 with partner Georgia Groome, who have been dating since 2011.
The actor, who played Harry's best friend Ron Weasley, shared a sweet selfie of himself and his baby, writing: "Hey Instagram....only 10 years late, but here I am. Grint on the Gram! Here to introduce you all to Wednesday G. Grint. Stay safe, Rupert."
Fans of the wizarding world will be pleased to know the on-screen best friends are still close.
Speaking on America's Today Show, Daniel said: "Absolutely [we're in touch]. We're not as close as we once were but I [recently] text Rupert because of his baby.
"I mean that is still wild to me that we are now at the stage were we are having kids and I'm sure that is a fact that makes the rest of the world feel very old."
