Donegal singer Daniel O'Donnell has thanked fans for their support after the sudden death of his sister Kathleen Doogan.
Kathleen was found dead at her home in Kincasslagh, Co Donegal on February 3 last month.
Hundreds of people attended the wake and funeral of the mother-of-four who was extremely well-known in the community.
Kathleen and her husband John ran the popular Viking House Hotel after the singer purchased the premises.
Daniel, who sang at Kathleen's funeral mass at St Mary's Church in Kincasslagh, today reached out to the community to thank them for their love and support during his family's hour of need.
Daniel and his family thanked everyone who sent mass cards or telephoned or comforted them in any way.
A message on behalf of the family said "We, the family of the late Kathleen (Bosco) Doogan, wish to thank most sincerely all those who sympathised with us on the loss of a dear wife, mother, mother in law, grandmother, sister and aunt who died suddenly on Feb 3rd.
"Heartfelt thanks to those who provided our family with support during this sad and difficult time, to all who attended the wake or funeral and to those who sent mass or sympathy cards, phone calls, flowers and messages.
"Special thanks to The Cope and Supervalu in Dungloe, Eamon Kelly at Celtic Hygeine and to all our friends and neighbours who brought food to the house and for looking after us during the wake, for just being there and for sharing our grief with us, especially when the news first broke and we needed you most.
"Thanks to John Paul and Lee for helping with the parking, Fr Pat Ward for getting to the house so quickly that morning and for being a great support to us over the course of the wake and funeral.
"Thank you to Fr Aodhan Cannon, Fr Nigel Gallagher, Fr Brian D'Arcy and Fr John Joe Duffy for concelebrating the funeral mass with Fr Pat, to all those who took part in the funeral mass to make it a very special service.
"Thanks to the ambulance service and the Gardai who were so compassionate when they arrived, to the undertakers Shaun Mc Glynn and Josie Gallagher for their professional and respectful service especially managing to get mum home so quickly.
"Thanks also to Pat The Cope Gallagher for his assistance and a special thanks to the two guards who helped with traffic the morning of the funeral. Garda Peter McGee and Garda Marcus O Dowd.
"It's impossible to thank everyone individually but please accept this acknowledgement as an expression of our deepest gratitude.
"Please keep us in your prayers and always remember mum."
Kathleen's Months Mind Mass will take place in St Mary's Kincasslagh on Friday 10th March at 7pm.
