Daniel Levy tonight holds first Tottenham fans forum in over five years

Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy will take questions from supporters during a rare public appearance at a fan forum tonight.

Levy, head coach Ange Postecoglou and captain Heung-min Son will all take part in the 90-minute Q&A at the club’s stadium, while the panel will also include representatives from the women’s team for the first time, in head coach Robert Vilahamn and new skipper Beth England.

The session will be hosted by BBC broadcaster Nihal Arthanayake, who is a Spurs fan.

Levy has not taken part in a fans’ forum since December 2017, during the reign of Mauricio Pochettino, with the club not holding the event during the unhappy tenures of Jose Mourinho, Nuno Espirito Santo and Antonio Conte.

The 250 attendees, who were chosen by ballot, can pre-submit a question for the panel, which will be chosen by the club, or raise their hand on the night.

Levy took part in a Q&A session at The Cambridge Union Society earlier this year but rarely does interviews or press conferences, leaving fans with limited opportunities to hear from him.

Levy resisted clamour last season to reappoint Pochettino before agreeing to sell talisman Harry Kane to Bayern Munich.

Spurs have made a tremendous start under Postecoglou, taking 13 points from five matches ahead of Sunday’s north London derby, though fans protested the decision to raise season-ticket prices ahead of the first home game of the season, against Manchester United.
