Daniel Levy reveals what frustrates him every day at Tottenham and gives Glazers verdict

Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy has admitted that "probably every day" he has been frustrated at not being able to justify decisions to the fans. The 61-year-old is notoriously a very private person and very rarely comments on club matters.

This has left many Tottenham fans extremely irritated as a result, especially when more clarity is needed with things just not going right for the club on the pitch. Usually only commenting on a big decision regarding the club, in their financial report and in the club's matchday programme for the final home match of the season, Levy was quizzed about his silence and how frustrating it is for fans when speaking to Cambridge Union.

"Probably every day," revealed Levy, when it was put to him if he has ever been frustrated at not explaining the reasoning behind decisions to the fanbase. "The media often print stories that just aren't true. It's perceptions. An article gets printed, it's a story that then becomes a reality, but I've remained dignified and I just won't comment."

With many supporters calling for change at the club and Levy to depart, the chairman was asked to give his verdict on how he believes he is perceived by supporters.

"I'm not sure what an average Spurs fan is, but I would hope that they would perceive that I am always acting in the best interests of the club," he said. "I've given a large proportion of my working life to the club and I think that the club today, hopefully they will perceive it to be in a better place than when I first got involved."

Many owners have come in for plenty of criticism over the running of clubs, with the Glazer family very much in the headlines on a regular basis over their handling of things at Manchester United. As many owners may not have the connection with the fans, Levy believes that they all still want the same thing.

"I think anyone that buys a football club, they may not fully understand or have the connection with the fans, but they do want the same thing as the fans, which is to win," outlined Levy.

"I think it would be wrong to assume that the Glazers don't want Manchester United to win. I'm sure they do."
