Tottenham's new managing director of football is going to have plenty on his plate once he steps through the door at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium. Not only will he have to make some big changes to the playing squad with incomings and outgoings needing to take place as Tottenham look to challenge for the top four once again, some important calls over contracts must also happen as the Lilywhites plot for the future.
The last thing Spurs want to do is lose some of their stars for absolutely nothing once their contracts come to an end. Tottenham are in a rather dangerous position at present with star man Harry Kane about to enter the final 12 months of his deal.
That means there is the possibility of the England captain, who is valued at £69million by CIES Football Observatory, leaving on a free transfer this time next summer if a new deal cannot be agreed by then. Ange Postecoglou, Daniel Levy and the club will be hoping that is not the case, though, and that the striker can pen fresh terms to keep him in N17 for the foreseeable future.
But which Spurs players other than Kane are about to enter the final 12 months of their contracts? football.london takes a look at the nine players Tottenham must decide on this summer.
Hugo Lloris
Transfer value: £9m (CIES Football Observatory)
One player who looks set to move on from Tottenham Hotspur Stadium this summer is Lloris after serving the club for 11 years. Already making it clear that he wants to try a new challenge, Levy and the club just need to decide if they allow him to leave for nothing given his years of service or if they demand a fee for the Frenchman.

Fraser Forster
Transfer value: £4m
Signed on a free transfer from Southampton 12 months ago, Forster turned out to be one of Tottenham's best signings of the 2022/23 campaign. Given his transfer value is not so high due to his age and with others in the same boat worth a lot more, Spurs have a bit of time on their side before coming to a final decision over the England international.
It would certainly be wise to extend his stay for a bit longer as he has proved that he has plenty still to offer Tottenham when first-team chances arise.
Brandon Austin
Transfer value: £300k (Transfermarkt)
Sticking with the goalkeepers, Austin will be out of contract next summer after last signing a two-year deal in March 2022. Showing no sign of breaking into the first team with the likes of Lloris and Forster ahead of him in the pecking order, both parties have a big decision to make as the 24-year-old is at an age where he now needs to be playing regularly.
Davinson Sanchez
Transfer value: £17m
Defence is very much a priority for Tottenham this summer after their struggles at the back over the last year. There will be movement in terms of incomings and outgoings, with Sanchez one of those tipped to depart for a new challenge elsewhere.
Valued at £17million, Tottenham will be looking to bring in as much money as possible for the Colombian if he's given him the green light to exit. Given his value, Tottenham need to part with him quickly if they want to bring in as much money as possible for the ex-Ajax man.
Eric Dier
Transfer value: £17m
Dier is also in the same boat as Sanchez this summer due to his contract status. Valued at £17million just like his fellow defender, the England international is another player who could also bring in a decent amount of money for Tottenham if he's not going to be offered a new contract.
Ivan Perisic
Transfer value: £13m
Perisic will soon enter the final 12 months of his Tottenham deal after signing on a two-year contract from Inter Milan last summer. The Croat is not one for the future given he turns 35 in February but he did make a big impact in terms of assists last season after notching 12 for the Lilywhites.
Valued at £13million, Tottenham would still be able to bring in a decent fee for Perisic if they decide to cut his stay short by a year. Given he won't be playing as a left-back in Postecoglou's system and he will have players ahead of him in the pecking order for the attacking roles, it could be best for Spurs to cash in on him now.
Harry Winks
Transfer value: £4m
Winks will return to Hotspur Way very soon as pre-season training begins for Postecoglou's team. Spending last season out on loan with Italian side Sampdoria, it remains to be seen where the midfielder will be playing his football from August onwards.
Valued at £4million, Tottenham will be hoping to bring in a bit more for the 27-year-old if he is to move on for good ahead of the transfer deadline.
Harvey White
Transfer value: £4m
White will also be back at Hotspur Way shortly after finishing last campaign in League One with Derby County. Behind a number of players in Tottenham's midfield, it seems to be the right time for both parties to go their separate ways.
Despite his lack of minutes in a Tottenham shirt, White has done well when he has left on loan and that should help Tottenham add to the coffers in the process.
Harry Kane
Transfer value: £69m
Tottenham quite simply cannot afford to lose their main man this summer. Real Madrid and Manchester United have both been linked with the England star, although talk of a switch to either has died down over the past week or so.
Levy and Spurs need to do everything in their power to get him to sign a new deal.
