Daniel Kaluuya left BAFTA viewers in tears as he paid tribute to late music producer Jamal Edwards at Sunday evening's awards.
The Get Out actor, 33, took a moment to remember his friend as he took to the stage to present the award for best Leading Actress.
Before he named the nominees, Daniel shared some heartfelt words about Jamal, who tragically passed away at the age of 31 last month.
"Evening, what's happening?" Daniel began.
"Eternal life to Jamal Edwards," the talented star added before he continued to deliver the nominees for Leading Actress.
Daniel's short but powerful message was received with applause from the audience as they took a moment to remember much-loved Jamal.
Jamal, who founded SBTV and helped launch the careers of several global chart-topping artists including Dave, Skepta and Ed Sheeran, passed away from a sudden illness on 20 February.
The music guru was also an ambassador for the Prince's Trust - a youth charity run by the Prince of Wales which helps young people set up their own companies.
Following Daniel's powerful words about Jamal, emotional viewers flocked to Twitter to praise the former Skins actor.
"Daniel didn't say much - but he said everything at the same time. What a hero," one BAFTA viewer penned.
"Tearing up after Daniel's speech. Jamal would be so proud of his pal," another added.
"Wow! So much respect for Daniel for that," someone else gushed.
Meanwhile, a fourth echoed: "I bet Jamal's family are so thankful right now. The world lost a legend last month. Claps for Daniel for remembering him at such an important time."
Jamal, who is the son Loose Women Brenda Edwards', has been lovingly remembered by several famous faces since his sad passing last month.
At the time of the news of his death, his devastated mum took to Twitter to pay tribute to her inspirational boy.
Brenda released a heartbreaking statement via ITV which read: "It is with the deepest heartache that I confirm that my beautiful son Jamal Edwards passed away yesterday morning after a sudden illness.
"Myself, his sister Tanish and the rest of his family and friends are completely devastated. He was the centre of our world.
"As we come to terms with his passing, we ask for privacy to grieve this unimaginable loss. I would like to thank everyone for their messages of love and support.
"Jamal was an inspiration to myself and so many. Our love for him lives on, his legacy lives on. Long live Jamal Edwards MBE, MBA, PHD."
Thanks to his impressive achievements and career, Jamal was appointed an MBE for services to music in 2014.
