Many mock drafts this offseason have had the top three quarterbacks gone early and then a big dropoff at the position. NFL media’s Daniel Jeremiah has a slightly different idea of where the quarterbacks will go.
First off, Jeremiah doesn’t have them going 1-2-3. He has Jaydon Daniels making it to six overall and then Michigan’s JJ McCarthy taken just two picks later.
Either way this leaves the Raiders at 13 without one of the top quarterbacks and thus turning to a different position.
They take the first cornerback off the board, nabbing Alabama’s Terrion Arnold.
Arnold is a big-time playmaker who is just scratching the surface of his potential. This would be a perfect marriage of need and talent.
Other positions that had an early run in this mock prior to the Raiders pick are wide receiver and offensive tackle with three players from each position taken in the top ten.
