Things have been rather quiet at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on a day when fans wanted it to be incredibly busy in N17. Very active in the summer transfer market ahead of the new campaign, Spurs supporters were dreaming of another addition or two to finalise Fabio Paratici's transfer business.
That doesn't look to be the case, however, with Spurs expected to go without ahead of this evening's 11pm deadline. A number of players were linked with switches to north London, including Daniel James, Yannick Carrasco and Hakim Ziyech.
On the other hand, players were also mentioned in regards to moves away from the club, notably Lucas Moura and Bryan Gil. Both will now stay and compete for their place in Antonio Conte's Tottenham attack over the coming months with plenty of games on the agenda.
