Daniel Farke could be joined at Leeds United by three of his closest and most trusted associates in the game to make up his backroom team. The German head coach is expected to be announced as Leeds’ new manager imminently having emerged as the outstanding candidate for the role during a lengthy interview process.
He’ll get to work shortly after his appointment with pre-season already underway at Thorp Arch. The start of the Championship season is now just four and a half weeks away and he’ll be keen to make progress quickly with his Whites side.
Leeds are without a full roster of backroom staff at present, with Michael Skubala and goalkeeper coach Marcos Abad the only recognised coaches in the first-team set-up. As such, it seems likely that Farke will look to add to his backroom team quickly and given Edmund Riemer, Chris Domogalla and Christopher John have followed the manager throughout his career they could be in the frame to land at Elland Road.
Riemer and Farke have been together since 2009, when Reimer joined Lippstadt as a player. Farke was his manager at the time and he chose to stick with the German following his retirement, working as his assistant manager and right-hand man at Borussia Dortmund II, Norwich City, Krasnodar and Borussia Monchengladbach.

The 38-year-old has a UEFA A Licence and knows the manager's methods inside and out. John was also one of Farke’s players at Lippstadt, but he didn’t link back up with the 46-year-old until he was in his second season at Norwich after a stint in the backroom team at Paderborn.
John, 34, worked as a first-team coach at Carrow Road and he has remained with the manager through his stints in Russia and Germany. Domogalla is the final man who could arrive at Elland Road.
The German first came into contact with Farke at Dortmund, before making the journey over to England to join Norwich with him. He left East Anglia when the manager did and of course, he has been with him during his last two jobs, too.
He has held various job titles, but generally speaking he has been Farke’s head of performance, a role that centres on conditioning and fitness.
