Dangerous driving arrest for man in his 20s clocked driving 168kph in Donegal

A man in Donegal was arrested after he was clocked driving at 168kph in a 100kph speed zone on Wednesday.

The driver, aged in his 20s, was charged with dangerous driving and is due to appear in court next month.

Gardai attended the scene of the speeding incident which happened at around midday in Rossbracken, on the outskirts of Letterkenny.

A Garda spokesperson said: "Gardaí attended an incident of dangerous driving that occurred at approximately 12:15pm yesterday, 27 July 2022 in the Rossbracken area of Letterkenny, Co Donegal.

"A man, aged in his 20s, was found driving at a speed of 168km/hr in a 100km/hr zone.

"This man was arrested and later charged in relation to this incident and is due to appear before a sitting of Letterkenny District Court in relation to this incident at approximately 10:30am on Thursday, the 4th of August 2022."
