Dancing On Ice fans were left unimpressed with a 'dig' from judge Christopher Dean after the latest performance from Coronation Street star Mollie Gallagher and her skating partner Sylvain Longchambon. The Olympic gold medallist clapped back at the reaction from the audience as the votes came in for Mollie's cheerleading routine to 2 Be Loved (Am I Ready) by Lizzo on the celeb skating contest.
Mollie, who plays Nina Lucas in the ITV soap, said she was transported "out of her comfort zone" as she and Sylvain performed lifts during a high-energy routine. So it caught the studio audience by surprise as the judges Christopher, his skating partner Jayne Torville, Oti Mabuse and Ashley Banjo voted 6.5 our of 10 across the board, giving them 26 out of 40 points.
Boos rang out as Oti flinched and Jayne jokingly placed her fingers in her ears. And Christoper said: "I love when there's so many experts in the room."

Reacting to Christopher's comment @amyt3402 tweeted: "Well that was a sarcastic comment there from Chris." And @Lenny84808442 pointed out: "Little dig from Chris there."
@ash_lonsdalex fumed that the comment had "irritated" them. And @Scotthopper1 said: "If people don't agree with your scores that's up to them."
The boos were pointed out by host Phillip Schofield who pressed Christopher on the scoring, pointing out that the audience clearly believed it should have been higher. "It could have been higher," replied Christopher.
He explained: "It started off great but when you started skating by yourself it slowed right down and I saw that the confidence went down a little bit." He told Mollie: "But I understand why, because this is the first time in a short turnaround you've only had six days to get this together. Normally your skating is solid but I just saw that confidence go down a bit."
The judge then threw down a challenge to Mollie, 25, from Swinton, who has played Nina in Weatherfield since 2019. "Next week do you want to be the first person to do a headbanger?" he asked, and Mollie agreed that she would become the first celeb this series to perform the move, which happens when a skater is spun around from their ankles making their body move up and down in a circle with their head touching close to the ice.
@Haydendanixx exclaimed: "Tells her that her skating isn't great and then tells her to be the first person to do the headbanger?!" And @griannedoherty3 questioned: "Carley's pretty much topped the leaderboard every week so far so surely wouldn't it of actually made much more sense for Chris to suggest she be the first to tackle the headbanger this year, rather that Mollie? Whose confidence clearly isn't there yet unfortunately?"
And @michellepryde said: "Christ Chris. Talk about putting pressure on her this early by asking Mollie to do the headbanger next week when she clearly wasn’t that confident this week."
