Dancing on Ice star Jayne Torvill shares rare picture of husband and children

Dancing on Ice judge Jayne Torvill has shared a rare photo of her husband and two children as they enjoyed a day out in London. The TV star and professional ice skater, 65, took to Instagram to share the smiley snap of herself alongside husband Phil Christensen, son Kieran and daughter Jessica, 16, standing in Oxford Street.

The Olympic legend's son Kieran, 20, towers over his mum and his dad Phil in the sweet photo taken on the busy street. Jayne ditched her extravagant Dancing On Ice attire - and went for a more casual look instead.

She was wearing a grey hoodie and went make-up free for the day. Her blonde locks were swept up into a ponytail to complete the look.

The ice skating legend added a caption to the image, which reads: "Fun time in London this weekend. #family #shopping #fun". Her followers went ahead to express their love for the family, with former DOI pro Brianne Decourt commenting: "What a good looking family. Miss you all."

A fan said: "It’s nice to see your family after all these years. Enjoy." "Beautiful hope you had a great time," said a third, and a fourth person commented: "A lovely family picture."

With an additional follower adding: "Glad you’re showing up more on social media!" Jayne does occasionally upload pictures of her adopted children on social media - but snaps of her husband of 32 years are rare. A snap from September sees her and her daughter posing for the camera as she marked her daughter's first day of sixth form.

While a selfie from June last year saw Jayne and son Kieran beaming after they enjoyed playing a spot of tennis together. Throughout her Instagram however are plenty of snaps of Jayne and skate partner Christopher Dean, with the duo often posing for glam snaps from behind-the-scenes of Dancing On Ice.

The pair, who were born in Nottingham and have denied dating over the years, are no doubt gearing up for the next series of the ITV show, with the celebrity contestants recently announced. It comes as Siva Kaneswaran has been confirmed as the final star to sign up for the new series of Dancing On Ice.

The Wanted singer, 33, is the 11th celebrity competitor for the ITV figure skating competition which is set to air in January. The former boy band star confirmed the news during a recent appearance on Good Morning Britain, revealing his late bandmate Tom Parker inspired him to take part.

Revealing the news exclusively to ITV's Good Morning Britain, Siva said: "I'm very excited. I'm trying to be positive and not be in a fearful mindset! I'm looking forward to meeting all the cast. I want to learn how to skate and make my family proud of me and put on a show for everyone to see and hopefully not make a fool of myself!"

The singer will take to the ice alongside the previously announced actress and DJ Patsy Palmer, football legend John Fashanu, Love Island winner Ekin-Su Cülcüloğlu, Olympic gymnast Nile Wilson, Coronation Street's Mollie Gallagher, Drag Queen and TV personality The Vivienne, TV personality Joey Essex, comedian Darren Harriott, actress and West End star Carley Stenson and singer Michelle Heaton.
