Meanwhile Phillip Schofield and Holly Willoughby were in full swing as they took on their regular hosting duties. Following a colourful opening number from the professional skaters all the stars took to the ice to show off their moves.
Leeds gymnast Nile Wilson was the last celebrity to hit the ice as he performed to Harry Styles’ Sign of the Time with his pro partner Olivia.
He received 29.5 points which was the highest total score of the night. Speaking about his performance he said: “I can’t feel my legs. I can’t believe it, I’m so happy.”
Oti Mabuse told Nile: “You are so so so special because what you did was so easy to watch and so enjoyable. I can not wait to see what crazy things you will do next.”
Ashley Banjo added: “We have had some incredible performances already. Sometimes you see some performances and think ‘are we in week one’ and that is what I felt.”
He added: “I just couldn’t believe that that was your performance and it’s only week one. You've got so much potential to be step perfect and I’m so excited to see you grow in the competition.”
