Dancing on Ice's Kye Whyte branded a flirt after he 'falls for' pro skater Morgan Swales

Dancing on Ice's Kye Whyte is rumoured to have eyes for professional skater Morgan Swales.

The 22-year-old Olympic BMX star has been branded a "flirt" and doesn't seem to mind that Morgan has a boyfriend.

Morgan, also 22, from Sheffield is dating ice hockey player Cole Shudra.

The pair have been together for six years.

A show source told The Sun said: “Kye is so funny backstage and loves to flirt with all the women.

“But the poor lad has his eyes set on the one girl he can’t have.

“Morgan is gorgeous so you can’t blame him for trying. But when she posted a loving Instagram message to Cole on Valentine’s Day, it was clear she was not interested in Kye’s efforts.

The competitive British figure skater has been skating since she was nine years old and has competed in national and international stage.

Reminiscing on how she first got into skating, she said: “I first started ice skating at the age of nine and this came from seeing Dancing on Ice on TV.

"I just wanted to have a go. So I pestered my mum into letting me start having lessons.”

She also starred in the Netflix series Zero Chill.

Kye, who grew up in Peckham, spoke out recently about how he lost many friends to London gangs.

He gave his cycling enthusiast dad credit for helping him to stay on track and away from crime.

"“I had mates who were sucked into gang life, 100%, and I still have mates that are in that life now.

“I have mates that have gone down that road and are either not here with us now or are in jail. I just knew it was a route I was not going to take.”

His dad founded and coached at the Peckham BMX Club - which is where Kye fell in love with the sport.

“When I was younger, he was super-strict,” says Kye. “First, he was my coach. Second, my dad has done every single sport under the sun. So if it wasn’t a bike, he would’ve got me into another sport."

He's not the only one in the family to love sports, his two sisters do gymnastics and one sister also rides a BMX.

But for Kye, his passion hasn't come without pain. When he was just 13 years old he was in a coma for five days after a crash.

He said that he was on a ward with five other people, adding it was "the kind of ward where you're dying".

But the daredevil didn't let that knock his confidence and says that he still to this day rides the bike that could have killed him.

The Mirror has contacted ITV and representatives for Kye Whyte and Morgan Swales.
