Joey Essex and Vanessa Bauer wowed with their first Dancing On Ice routine - amid romance rumours for the pair.
The duo have been partnered with one another on the ITV1 skating show and as they took to the ice for their first routine this evening, they impressed with their performance to Mack the Knife. They opened the show, wowing the judges with their skate.
They received a total of 27 out of a possible 40 for their performance, with Christopher Dean describing it as "a dance which stole some hearts" whilst Oti Mabuse said it was a "fantastic way to open the show".
Joey and Vanessa have been inseparable since they started training together, with the pair even stepping out at an awards show alongside one another. Fans have been convinced their friendship could be more, but the pair are yet to confirm either way.
Joey recently added to the rumours of a romance between the pair when he couldn't stop talking about what a lovely girl she was.
Speaking to The Mirror and other press this week, he said: "At the start of the journey, I was like oh my gosh I don't want to drop you but now it's just like whatever let's do it, let's take risks! Obviously I care about Vanessa because she's a lovely girl.
"I don't want to drop her, but she's so used to being dropped. Nile's a gymnast so he knows how to fall and I know how to fall now. I got some injuries at the start but you learn how to fall and you learn how to be dropped."
However, if there is a romance brewing between the pair, it hasn't stopped her being "strict" with him.
"Oh yeah she's definitely whipping me! She is beyond strict, but I love it but I wanted someone who is strict and put me in my place," he gushed of the pair's close partnership on the ITV1 skating show.
Joey recently revealed dancing with someone on the show is "very intimate" and thinks it would be a "disaster" for married couples.
He told The Sun : "I'm truly blessed to be paired with Vanessa, I was very happy. You're close and you are touching each other's legs . . . and everywhere else. You are very intimate and it can happen.
"Honestly I don't know how people do this show when they're married — it would be a disaster. People were saying to me, like, 'If I was married . . . God!' Lucky I ain't got a ring on my finger, eh?"
