Dancing On Ice's Connor Ball says eliminated star SHOULD be in the final after axing

Connor Ball has reflected on his Dancing On Ice experience and admitted he wouldn't sign up for the show again but has fond memories of his experience.

The Lunar Year singer who returns with his latest single, Hey! Wait! with bandmate Sasa Macek appeared on the ITV show in 2022 but was knocked out in week eight.

Now, he's opened up about his experience and how he believes The Wanted hitmaker Siva Kaneswaran should be competing in the upcoming grand finale alongside Nile Wilson.

Speaking to The Mirror, Connor, 26, said: "It was absolutely terrifying, I enjoyed every moment, I really did but I don't know if I would ever do it again purely because of the injuries.

"I watch people back and I'm so jealous, this year, I don't know how they're so good – no one has been injured."

"I think it really reflects on me as a person," he laughed before adding: "I did enjoy it, I loved it, and this year looks like it's been really good."

Discussing Siva's recent tribute to Tom, Connor continued: "He looked great, he smashed it – I think it's a shame that he went out."

Lifelong Blink-182 fan Connor recently completed one of his bucket list tasks and sat down with Mark Hoppus to pen Hey Wait!

"We were like 'oh my God!' because for me growing up, Mark is a bassist as well, he's just an absolute idol for me, Blink as a whole, so to have that opportunity was insane."

Discussing the song, Connor explained: "I had this concept that I thought he could relate to with everything he's been through because we've both been in bands for years.

"Sometimes you've been on tour, and maybe you haven't quite been in the moment or enjoyed it as much as you could have just because your mind has been elsewhere or you're having a bad day.

"But at the end of the day, you have to remember what you're actually doing and how lucky we've been in that process and to be present."

He added: "Hopefully everyone can relate to it in the fact that you could have had some the best days of your life and its just kind of passed you by in a heartbeat and you've not really taken it."

But while this is The Lunar Year's first single following the release of their debut EP, Connor revealed that he and Sasa are planning an album.

"There's an album coming, a full album is pretty much there, there are enough songs," he teased before adding: "There's a whole concept behind it and there's artwork for the next single and everything ready to go – there's a whole thing coming."
