Christopher Dean launched a scathing put down in the direction of Dancing on Ice's studio audience on Sunday night, sniping about there being 'so many experts' in the studio, as the judges were booed over their scores for Mollie Gallagher.
After the skate off was axed last week and Michelle Heaton was sent packing without a chance to redeem herself after finishing bottom of the public vote, Dancing on Ice was back on Sunday night and so was the skate off. In the second themed week in succession, the ITV show hosted its Dance Week, with Coronation Street star Mollie and her professional partner, Sylvain Longchambon doing a Cheerleader inspired routine to Lizzo's To Be Loved (Am I Ready).
Mollie, famous to millions of soap fans as Nina in Corrie, did look slightly nervous during her and Sylvain's performance and that didn't go un-noticed by the judges, with each of them awarding 6.5 out of 10, seeing Mollie's scores take a dive as a result. By the time it came to Winter Olympic legend Chris to give his marks for the skate, the crowd in the studio had already booed the other judges' scores and, before getting the same reaction he retorted: "I love that there are so many experts in the room!"
Reacting to Chris' dig at the audience, one unimpressed Dancing on Ice viewer took to Twitter to post: "Christopher Dean want to watch what he’s saying it’s those experts that is paying his bloody wages."
Another tweeted: "Snarky comment Chris! Bit unfair when cheerleading is more gymnastics than dance," with a third joking: "Why is Christopher Dean invoking the spirit of Satan tonight? Very evil vibes"
