Dancing On Ice couple Brianne Delcourt and Kevin Kilbane have unveiled their newborn daughter's unusual name.
Brianne, 41, gave birth to her second baby girl, who was born via C-section, on April 29 - and the new mum is lapping up life with footballer husband, Kevin.
The happy couple confirmed the news to OK Magazine when they said: "Our beautiful baby girl born 8:37am ET. We can't wait to take you home to meet your sisters.”
Brianne and Kevin - who first met when they were partnered together for the 2019 series of Dancing On Ice - have revealed that they have named their second daughter Keavy Anne.
Skating champion Brianne, who is already a proud mum to five-year-old Gracie and 15-month-old Olivia, shared the special meaning behind the unusual name given to her second daughter with Kevin - who set his sights on an Irish name for their baby girl.
"There’s very little that I’m in charge of, let’s be honest," Brianne told OK! Magazine when discussing her daughter's special name.
"Keavy is obviously named after Kevin and the Anne is named after me too. As soon as we saw her we knew she was definitely a Keavy," she added.
Meanwhile, Brianne's husband Kevin admitted: “I wanted an Irish name with an Irish spelling. Bri wasn’t totally against it, but she didn’t want to make her child’s life more complicated than it needs to be.
“We’d been pretty much settled on Emily Ava for more or less six months of the pregnancy and then after the ultrasound, when we got the little still shot, Bri said she was feeling Keavy a lot more. It was a joint decision but more so Bri’s. It’s a beautiful name and we’re delighted with it.”
While the proud parents have been lapping up the special time with their daughters, it hasn't all been smooth sailing.
After she was forced to deliver baby Keavy Anne through a C-section, Brianne has endured an incredibly stressful couple of weeks as she continues to deal with the after effects of the surgery.
Recalling the difficult birth, Brianne explained that she felt as though she was going to 'pass out' from the pain.
"Everything went really smoothly until just before the surgery. Kevin came in and all of a sudden I started to get really sweaty and started to see stars and I looked at the doctor and said, ‘I’m going to pass out here. I’m going to go.’
"But they gave me whatever they gave me and I perked up, but the actual surgery took the longest out of my births. With the other two girls it was a 30-minute procedure and then I could hear a cry, but with Keavy it was way over an hour.
"I had a really bad feeling. My obstetrician kept saying, ‘It’s fine, she just doesn’t want to come out!’
“And then after an hour and 20 minutes, the doctor was like, ‘You’re going to feel a lot of pressure because we’ve got to get her out now.’ And then there was this pop. This is quite gruesome but blood had spattered right in our faces and she came out but then we didn’t hear a thing. I’m panicking at this stage and saying to Kevin, ‘OK, talk to me. What’s going on?’”
Brianne said she was so worried about her newborn baby not crying that she sent Kevin to check on her to see if she was breathing.
Thankfully, a short while later, the proud parents heard their baby girl cry for the first time - and they could finally relax.
The lovebirds announced their pregnancy back in November- just nine months after welcoming their daughter Olivia.
At the time, proud dad Kevin took to social media to share the wonderful news.
"We’re extremely excited, but we know it’s going to be a mad house," he penned.
"We’re just going to have to wing it. Olivia and the new baby are only going to be 15 months apart," he added.
