Dancing on Ice's Brendan and Vanessa emotional as they receive 'perfect' score

Dancing on Ice duo Brendan Cole and Vanessa Bauer put on a stunning display on Sunday evening as they achieved a perfect score on the hit ITV contest.

The pair earned a clean sweep of '10s' from the judges after a mesmerising performance on prop week.

And they couldn't hide their emotions as the judges announced their score following their brilliant skate.

After judge Ashley Banjo announced his score an overjoyed Brendan could be seen fist pumping the air as he hugged into his professional skating partner.

The pair continued to embrace as Oti Mabuse and Jayne Torvil followed up with their perfect score before Christopher Dean made it a full house, much to the delight of the competitors and the live audience.

Presenter Holly Willoughby showed her own excitement as she exclaimed: "That is 10s across the board. Oh my God!"

Turning to talk to Brendan, she gushes: "Brendan, that is one of those performances that will go down in Dancing on Ice history.

"Everybody is going to remember when Brendan and Vanessa danced in the rain."

He appeared lost for words when asked how the performance was for him, before praising the return of his partner Vanessa.

The duo incorporated an umbrella into the routine for this week's performance which also contained several ambitious dance moves, including a "death spiral" before a trio of complex rotating lifts.

When giving her feedback, Oti was also clearly moved by their routine.

She gushed: "For weeks I’ve been saying I want more and I know you. That was the performance I was talking about.

"I’m very dramatic so I love the drama but there was storytelling. It was technical and the two of you just made it look effortless."

Elsewhere on the show, The Vamps singer Connor Ball suffered a nasty fall during his time on the ice.

Towards the end of his routine with partner Alexandra Schauman, Connor attempted a jump but ended up taking a tumble - which left him bleeding.

Despite the fall, the pairing still managed to score 34 and proceeded into the next round next week.

Shortly after the incident Connor took to social media to tell his concerned fans he was in good spirits but had required stitches for his wound.

He wrote on Twitter : "Guys im okay, currently getting my leg stitched up but thank you so so so much for voting me through once again, you guys are actually incredible i’m too lucky honestly (sic)."
