Dancing on Ice's Bez reveals who he would like to win competition

Happy Mondays' Bez has revealed who he would like to win Dancing on Ice 2022.

Bez, who is taking part in this year's competition, was interviewed by Holly Willoughby and Alison Hammond during Monday's This Morning.

Pressed by Alison on who he would like to see take the title, he said: "Well it is hard to say, because I really get on with everybody.

"I think after watching Connor last night, he's come up leaps and bounds. He's my outside favourite.

"It could be any of the top three skaters. Regan, Brendan or Kimberley. Kimberley maybe... it would be nice to see a woman win it this year."

But Holly told him: "It could still be you. You never never know."

But Bez was not convinced: "You know, I think when it gets to the final, it should be judged by your skating skills," he said.

Bez added: "I am getting really good now at falling now on the ice. Accidents can happen. You saw what happened to Connor last night and he is a really proficient skater and I thought he did the best yesterday."

Holly added: "He had a fall didn't he. He was practising his spins, split his chin, had to have six stitches in his chin. He was meant to be opening the show and we suddenly had to change the whole running order and then he came on and they opened up again. It's dangerous."

Bez said despite still being in the competition, he thought his time was up last week.

"Yeah, I can't believe I'm still in it but thanks to the viewers and the people getting behind and supporting me," he said. "I thought I was going out last week, and my heart was going, I didn't think I could do the skate-off."

He added: "I don't get fearful of the ice. I have every pad on under the sun, obviously."

Holly said: "It is so close. There are so many who are up there."

"And me and Sally - the golden oldies," Bez joked.

This Morning airs weekdays from 10am on on ITV and the ITV Hub.
