Dancing on Ice fans divided as 'show off' Brendan Cole scores another perfect 40

Dancing on Ice fans are divided when it comes to contestant Brendan Cole and his impressive performances.

The former Strictly Come Dancing professional took to the ice again on Sunday night with his partner Vanessa Bauer, and they certainly impressed the judges.

Week eight of the competition was dedicated to skating duo Jayne Torvill and Christopher Dean as each of the remaining couples recreated one of their memorable performances.

Brendan and Vanessa had clearly perfected their routine and even performed the dreaded headbanger.

Unsurprisingly they received a total score of 40 after all four of the judges decided to give them tens.

But over on Twitter, Dancing on Ice fans were torn about Brendan and his chances of winning.

"Brendan still won’t win —-> #dancingonice regardless of how many 10s he gets," one viewer tweeted.

Another posted: "Brendan is such a show-off! #DancingOnIce," while another added: "Vanessa getting Brendan those 10s! Brendan doesn't really bring much imo #dancingonice."

However, other DOI fans were full of praise and felt that Brendan fully deserved his score.

One said: "Brendan has style and grace. Excellence #DancingOnIce."

Another posted: "Yessss Brendan!!! so deserved once again. #dancingonice."

A third tweeted: "Wow, that was absolutely fantastic from Brendan and Vanessa…#DancingOnIce."

And another added: "Fabulous routine by Brendan and Vanessa. Absolutely loved it! #DancingOnIce @dancingonice."

It comes after Brendan and Vanessa scored 40 last week too after using an umbrella in their routine as part of Props Week.

The pair were closely followed on the scoreboard by Kimberly Wyatt and Mark Hanretty who scored a total of 38.5.

Dancing on Ice continues Sunday at 6:30pm on ITV and ITV Hub.
