Dancing On Ice fans beg ITV bosses to change final format as they're 'sick and tired'

Dancing On Ice fans are desperate for a change to the show's format as the final airs tonight.

Viewers at home have tuned in to see the three finalists - Regan Gascoigne, Kimberly Wyatt and Brendan Cole - take on one another in a bid to be crowned the winner of this series of the ITV skating show.

However, fans watching the programme tonight have called for a change to the show's format as they're 'sick and tired' of always having to watch the same routine over and over again - the Bolero.

Frustrated, viewers took to social media to vent their annoyance.

"I think it's time to drop the #Bolero on #DancingOnIce it's getting old now. We could do with something fresh," one fan wrote online, as another added: "F*** me, they’re still banging on about the Bolero. #DancingOnIce."

A third questioned: "Is anyone else bored with bloody Bolero? #DancingOnIce."

"Oh god are they still doing the f***ing Bolero? #dancingonice," a fifth wrote, with a sixth adding: "Bolero overload #DancingOnIce."

However, some fans were happy to see the Bolero back.

"omg it just hit me that we’re gonna get BOLERO tonight, best part of the final #dancingonice," one excited fan penned.

Jayne Torvill and Christopher Dean's iconic Bolero saw the duo win Gold at the 1984 Sarajevo Winter Olympics. The orchestral piece by Maurice Ravel made the pair household names all around the world.

For it, the skating duo were awarded twelve "perfect" 6.0 scorings, with '6' being "outstanding" and the highest possible achievement.

However, tonight, only two of the celebrities will be able to skate the Bolero as one must exit the competition first.

Whilst one will miss out, judge Christopher Dean recently revealed the pair who places third on the show will get a chance to dance the Bolero - just not on the live show itself.

During an interview on Good Morning Britain, presenter Ben Shepherd said: "They've all trained up their Boleros, you must have seen all three so far. It must be heart-breaking for one of those couples that doesn't get to perform that?"

"Actually, they've been hiding them away from us. That'll be the first we see it," Chris said, "They get to perform it on the Sunday and record it; so they will do it in some form and I think that gets released, but not live on the show."
