"Thanks to the incredible @sharonmorrisonuk for keeping me and @vanessabauer_skates on the @dancingonice rink despite me trying my hardest to injure my hip by falling on it so many times."
Brendan's update comes after he made it through to the semi-final, which will take place on Sunday, March 13, with partner Vanessa.
The pair received top scores from the judging panel after they opened the latest episode of the ITV show, perfecting their routine and performing the dreaded headbanger.
Following their skate Vanessa penned her own message, thanking fans for their support and revealing how much pain Brendan had been in prior to performing.
"Another perfect score for us we are completely overwhelmed!" she told her 200k followers. "Thank you so much for supporting us to let us through to the SEMI FINAL!
"My utter respect goes to my incredible partner @brendancoleinsta ! If only you guys knew in how much pain he was throughout this performance with physio trying to keep an injury in check so he can perform until seconds before we went live!
"What a warrior but also what an incredible overall show! The standard this year is just insane and this was hands down the best level of skating show @dancingonice has ever had!!! What an honour to create this routine. Much love to the production as well for putting together this entire show! Semi final let's go!"
