Dancing on Ice 2023: Michelle Heaton's “hardly slept” since the first skate on live show

Former Liberty X pop star Michelle Heaton has admitted that is she has "hardly slept" since taking part in the first live Dancing on Ice show Michelle is .taking part in the 2023 series of Dancing on Ice and performed for the first time on Sunday (January, 15) alongside her professional partner Lukasz Rozycki, they scored 19 points and were voted by the public to stay in the show.

After their performance Michelle took to Instagram to update and thank her fans. She said: "Oh gosh, I have hardly slept ... last night was just everything...I am so grateful for all the support you guys have given me & @icelukasz as you can see from last night every vote counts .. so we thank you all so much".

Michelle went on to say she "loved every moment" and that she will be back training hard for her next performance. After performing on the show Michelle became emotional as she detailed the addiction problems she had battled through to be able to take part in the show.

She said: "My struggle with addiction is no secret...A few years ago I was up for Dancing On Ice and I was just in no fit state to do it. Yeah, it's been a lot. So yeah, it's really surreal to be here." Michelle has been very open about her struggle with alcohol addiction and recently posted photos of her in the hospital when she had previously been admitted for her addiction.

In early 2021, Michelle bravely checked into rehab to fight her alcoholism, after admitting that it took time for her to come to terms with the fact that she had a problem. You can read more about Michelle's life here.

In an emotional interview with Lorraine Kelly on Lorraine Michelle said the addition became worse during lockdown. She said: “I was in trouble with addictions many years ago. It got worse over lockdown. I was able to hide it because of the lockdown...I lost complete control and was completely powerless to alcohol. I don’t know when or how it happened but at some point it did. I couldn’t breathe without drinking."
